Police received information on drugs being dropped outside the jail, to which it then was going to be brought inside the jail by an inmate. The sheriff's office and jail administrators then set up and conducted surveillance to intercept the drugs.
Those charged include inmate Dallas Crihfield, his mother Reba Teters, and his wife Danielle Crihfield from Clinchco, Va. Other arrests included inmate Jeremiah Hamilton and his mother Teresa Hamilton from Clintwood. Kenny Mullins from Clintwood was also charged along with inmate Earnest Layne.
All have been charged with the attempt to deliver drugs to a prisoner and conspiracy to deliver drugs to a prisoner.
