Its Plans Include Leasing 86-Thousand Square Feet To A Startup Of Regional Investors Called Dharma Pharmaceuticals, Which Intends To Seek A State License To Produce Medicine Using Cannabidoil. Cannabidoil Is A Product Extracted From The Flowers And Buds Of Marijuana Or Hemp Plants. According To Alper And Associates Consulting, With The Help Of City Leader, They Expect To Fully Build Out The Mall Within The Next Two To Three Years And Create Over 500 Quality Jobs. WISE COUNTY, Va. (WYMT)- A Virginia church will deliver tens of thousands of sweet potatoes to Wise County, Va. in an effort to help those in need.
Maple Gap Church from Richlands, Virginia, will deliver around 48 thousand pounds of sweet potatoes to the Glamorgan Chapel parking lot in Wise County.
They are planning on delivering the potatoes on Thursday at 8 a.m.
The Wise County Sheriff's Office is encouraging food pantries, homeless shelters and advocacy centers to come pick up some of the potatoes.
Bags will be provided at pickup.

Authorities Said A Female Was Out For A Walk On Marshall Road In The Bakers Ridge Community On Tuesday, When She Was Approached By A Male Who Had Hidden On The Road, And Attacked Her. A Dickenson County Virginia Man Accused In The Shooting And Wounding Of His Wife And In-Laws Has Worked Out A Deal With Prosecutors. James Sykes Entered An Alford Plea To Malicious Wounding Charges. It Means Sykes Didn’t Admit Guilt But Acknowledged Their Was Enough Evidence To Convict Him. The Shooting Happened In July 2016. Afterwards, Sykes Barricaded Himself In His Home And After Three Hours, Surrendered To Authorities. He Was Sentenced To 30 Years In Prison And Will Serve Ten Years On Supervised Probation After His Release From Prison.
A Wise County Virginia Man Accused Of Taking His Son Out Of State Without Permission Has Been Located. David Brewster Was Found In Franklin County Georgia With His Son This Week. The Mother Of The Child Told Police, The Two Had Been Arguing When Brewster Took Keys To A Vehicle And Pointed A Gun At The Victim And Said He Was Leaving With The Child. Brewster Is Charged With Parental Kidnapping And Use Of A Firearm In The Commission Of A Felony. The Child Is Now In The Custody Of The Department Of Social Services. Brewster Is Still In Custody In Georgia And Its Unclear If He Will Waive Extradition.
