Fire officials say the fire started just before 8:00 Wednesday night.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation and fire officials say they do not believe the building had electricity.
The building has been abandoned for years and fire chief of the Cumberland Fire Department told WYMT no one was inside at the time of the fire.
"It's an abandoned building. It's been abandoned for ten years maybe. There's been several violations, nuisance violations. Trying to get it condemned," explained Edward Bush, Cumberland Fire Department Chief.
Fire crews were able to contain the fire inside the abandoned building and made sure no other surrounding buildings were damaged.
The fire marshal with be contacted and he will determine what action will be taken in the investigation.
