Early Sunday morning troopers responded to a call of a body found along Collins Highway.
"Initially, our troopers responded along with detectives. They were able to comb the area searching for evidence they discovered that the victim had suffered multiple gunshot wounds," said Kentucky State Police Sergeant Steven Mounts.
Police identified the body as Greg Brewer.
Sunday afternoon they arrested Brewer's brother, Harold Brewer, and charged him with murder.
According to an arrest citation, Brewer intentionally shot his brother and then moved the body to the side of the highway.
Some who live in the area said this is anything but normal.
"Every now and then you'll hear like gunshots and stuff, but people hunting and target practicing that's about it," said one man who lives down the road.
Police said Harold Brewer had drugs in an improper container at the time of his arrest.
Harold Brewer is charged with murder, possession of a handgun by convicted felon, tampering with physical evidence and a controlled substance, not in original container.
