The search for Fields began more than a week ago. His family hadn't seen him since Tuesday November 22.
Police received a call around 9:15 on Thursday morning. Someone driving along Route 160 in the Kings Creek Community, spotted a red four-wheeler and the body of Fields.
"It was determined that it was indeed Mr. Fields," said Kentucky State Trooper, Jody Sims. "Unfortunately...a sad conclusion to the original story."
Family and friends spent the majority of the week searching nearby trails and backroads for any signs of Fields. They told us that they actually searched the area where Fields was found and they aren't sure how they overlooked the red four-wheeler.
"We've been over that area time and time again, I don't know how he could have been right there and us not seen him," said Rebecca Fields, a family member. "Cause we looked all through that bottom when we would drive by, I mean it wasn't ten foot from the road where he was at."
They said having answers is better than nothing.
"It's not the outcome that we'd hoped for but I'm just glad that maybe his mom and his kids and brother and sister can have some closure that we did...we finally did find him," said Fields.
Police say they have no reason to suspect foul play.
The body was sent for an autopsy.
