The VA-KY Opry opened its doors in 1995
as the area’s premier showcase for local musical
talent and big name artists alike. Originally
envisioned as a live showcase to compliment the lineup
being broadcast on WAXM, The Opry has seen hundreds of
artists grace its stage. Nationally known
entertainers as such as Ralph Stanley, Larry Sparks,
and Goose Creek Symphony, are just a few of the acts
who have found an audience at the Opry. Every year
the lineup changes, but you are sure to enjoy a great
mix of country, bluegrass, gospel, and other local
favorites during each and every season. See our
